MONTEREY PARK Calif. – Soka University competed at the 2026 Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships, recording multiple scoring performances and a school record on the men's side. The highlight of the meet came in the 400 Freestyle Relay, where
Alexander Skrzypek,
Feliks Czarnecki,
Jaeger Frazier, and
Rion Kunimoto placed sixth in 3:11.99, establishing a new Soka University school record in the event.
Men's Highlights
- Alexander Skrzypek led the men individually, finishing 13th in the 100 Backstroke (53.68), 12th in the 200 Backstroke (1:56.78), and 24th in the 50 Freestyle (22.30).
- Feliks Czarnecki placed 16th in the 100 Freestyle (47.95) and 18th in the 50 Freestyle (21.39).
- Jaeger Frazier added a 13th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:00.02), a 17th-place finish in the 200 Freestyle (1:45.82), and a 24th-place finish in the 100 Yard Freestyle (48.24)
- Keegan Nichols scored in butterfly events, placing 28th in the 100 Butterfly (54.76) and 14th in the 200 Butterfly (2:04.90).
- Rion Kunimoto finished in the top 30 for the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 49.82.
- The men also competed in the 200 Medley Relay (7th, 1:37.32), and the 400 Medley Relay (7th, 3:36.95) and the 200 Freestyle Relay (6th, 1:27.13).
Women's Highlights
- Nicole Skrzypek delivered strong sprint performances for the women's team. She placed 22nd in the 50 Freestyle with a 24.61 in finals after swimming 24.63 in prelims. She also recorded a 24.68 in a 50 Freestyle time trial.
- Beatriz Ulian recorded a 1:04.34 in the 100 Backstroke and a 25.76 in the 50 Freestyle time trial marking a lifetime best time for the 50 Free.
- Kayla Robertson swam 1:26.74 in the 100 Backstroke prelims.
- Mizuki Yano placed 39th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:32.56), with Hana Imamura finishing 40th in the same event (1:33.42).
- The women's relays included an 18th-place finish in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:54.54), a 12th-place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:25.30, a 12th-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay (4:56.81), and 11th in the 400 Freestyle Relay (4:26.35).
Soka concluded the championships with scoring performances across individual and relay events, highlighted by the men's school-record swim in the 400 Freestyle Relay. The relay also marks the 15
th year in a row that a school record has been broken at the PCSC Championship under head coach
Adam Crossen and assistant coach
Andrew Crowell.
