Soka University

2019-2020 Season
Montagriff-Peck studied abroad during the Fall 2019 semester... upon returning to SUA Monty swam butterfly, backstroke, freestyle and IM for the Lions and represented Soka at the NAIA National Championships... swam season best times in the 200 Free (1:47.22), 50 Back (24.68), 100 Back (53.06), 200 Back (1:59.67), 100 Fly (1:03.94), and 200 IM (2:02.41).  

2017-2018 Season
Monty made a huge splash in his first season for the Lions...posting times in the 50 Free (24.06), 100 Free (x50.62), 200 Free (1:46.46), 500 Free (5:17.68)...50 Back (26.03), 100 Back (53.37), 200 Back (1:59.65)...100 Breast (1:10.45)...100 Fly (58.05)...200 IM (2:03.29), and 400 IM (4:47.32).

High School
Graduate of Grover Cleveland High School (Portland)...swam all four years on the varsity team for the Warriors...Montagriff-Peck also ran track his first and second year...received both possible swim awards: Junior year- Thomas Cameron Tougher than Nails, and Senior year-Royal C...was a member of the student government for two years, as well as a member of The Echo Theater Company teen performance group for three years.

Personal
Born in Littleton, Colorado...moved to Portland Oregon at age 2...parents Kim Montagriff and Cathi Peck...both played basketball, Cathi also played softball...swam for Lake Oswego Swim Club, 11-12...considered attending Colorado College and University of Redlands before choosing Soka as his home for the next four years...currently learning Spanish...planning to study Social and Behavioral Sciences or International Studies.
