Hagiya swam great times this season in her events...posting times in the 50 Free (x30.02), 200 Free (x2:04.87), 50 Back (29.77), 100 Back (1:02.92), 50 Fly (31.33), 100 Fly (1:14.00), 100 IM (1:09.83), 200 IM (2:33.25).
High School
Graduated from Andover High School...swam two years of varsity swimming for the Eagles...also played intramural Badminton... received the Underclassmen award for Chinese all four years at Andover...winner of the Eagles' Swim team Hardest Worker award for the 2015-2016 swimming season.
Personal
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts...moved to Andover, Massachusetts when she was six years old...parents Yoko and Masashiro Hagiya...one sibling; younger brother, Nobushiro Hagiya... a member of the ANA Synchro and Optima Synchro swim teams.... took first place at the 2015 National Synchronized Swimming Championships...also considered attending Wheaton College, Clark University, and Hobart and William Smith Colleges before committing to Soka University of America...studying Spanish and concentrating in Environmental Studies at SUA...speaks Japanese.
