Biography

2016-2017 Season
Meyer had a stellar sophomore year for the Lions... ran in five races for the Lions during the cross country season, and ran his season best 8K at the 42nd Annual Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational placing 157th with a time of 28.33.8...he also placed 28th at the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Challenge, and 60th at the Vanguard Invitational... He ran a strong 4K at the Aztec XC Invite with a time of 23:27.8 and an 18t place finish... He highlighted his year during the indoor track & field season with a third place finish in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:21.70 to brake the  Soka school record and punch his ticket to the NAIA Indoor National Championships which were held on March in Johnson City, Tennessee...This was Meyer's first trip to a National Competition where he placed 18th with a time of 1:24.35... during the outdoor track season he ran a college best time in the 1500M run with a time of 4:26.14 at the Cal  Pac Invitational and placed 2nd... Meyer worked as an Audio/Visual technician for the University... was an active member and representative for both the cross country and track & field teams on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. 

2015-2016 Season
Meyer was a strong addition to the Lions Cross Country and Track and Field programs...ran his Soka best time for the 8K with a time of 28:47 at the Cal Pac Conference Championships...ran the 400m, 800m and the 1000m for the Track and Field Team...ran Soka Best times of 50.85 in the 400m, 1:54.76 in the 800m, and 2:32.94 in the 1000m race...a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee... worked for the Audio/Visual department.

High School
A Nordhoff High School (Ojai, CA) class of 2015 graduate...ran for both the cross country and track & field programs with the Rangers...his team won the 4x800 California Indoor State Championship as well as the Nike Redondo Invitational and the Arcadia Invitational...His squad was the first place American team at the Penn Relays held in Philadelphia, finishing third overall...Landis ran as the anchor leg for the first place Div. IV CIF finals in the 4x400m as well as a contributing member of the CIF Southern Section Div. IV championship team. 

Personal
Born in Santa Barbara, California...moved to Oak View, California the summer before he started first grade...parents Paul and Lisbeth Meyer, one sibling; brother, Evan...Also considered attending Cal Lutheran, Northern Arizona, Cal Poly SLO, and San Francisco State University before choosing Soka as his home for the next four years.
