2017-2018 Season
A member of both the cross country team...Ran in five races for the Lions during the cross country season... finished 95th in the 6k race at the University of Washington's Sundodger Invitational (24:24)... 24th at the Cougar Challenge (19:37)... finished 8th overall at the Vanguard Invitational with a personal best time of 18:57... was the first Soka runner and fifth overall runner to cross the finish line at the the Cal Pac Conference Championships where she qualified for the NAIA National Championships with a time of 19:48... earned Cal Pac First Team All-Conference honors... at the NAIA XC Championships race she placed 159th overall with a time of 19:34 placing the highest of any Soka women's runner in school history...named an Athletic Department Most Outstanding Women's Cross Country Runner at the annual awards banquet... earned NAIA-Daktronics Scholar Athlete... served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee XC/Track representative...works for the Soka University Recreation Department. 

2016-2017 Season
A member of both the cross country and track & field teams...Ran in seven races for the Lions during the cross country season... finished 76th at the Biola Invitational (19:07.2)... 7th at the 72nd Aztec Invitational (20:09.2)... 54th at the Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational (19:25.0)... 20th at the Vanguard Invitational (19:41.5)... 28th at the Cougar Challenge (19:16.4)... was the second Soka runner to cross the finish line at the the Cal Pac Conference Championships where she qualified for the NAIA National Championships... earned Cal Pac First Team All-Conference honors... at the NAIA XC Championships race she placed 161st overall with a time of 19:14.9...during indoor track season she ran a season best mile of 5:49.61 where she placed 7th at the Soka Indoor Qualifier... ran an outdoor track season best time in the 1500m (5:06.06) at the Cal Pac Invitational where she placed 3rd... ran a college best 5000m at the Oxy Invitational with a time of 18:55.64...named the Soka University Women's Cross Country Team's Most Outstanding Runner... named an Athletic Department Scholar-Athlete at the annual awards banquet... served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee XC/Track representative...works for the Soka University Recreation Department. 

2015-2016 Season
Almeida made an immediate impact in her first cross country and track & field season for the Lions... led the Lions for most of the cross country season producing her best 5k time at the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Challenge  with a time of 19:53 and her best 6k time of 24:12.5 at the San Francisco State Invitational... During the track season the Lions will utilized Almeida's abilities in the 1500m, the mile run, and the 3000m...season best times were 5:03 in the 1500m, 5:39.13 in the mile, and 11:30.72 in the 3000m.

High School
A Serrano High School class of 2015 graduate...began running Cross Country in 2012 and won the XC Most Improved Runner award by 2013...was a member of the Mohave River League championship team which qualified for state...took fourth place in CIF.

Personal
Born in Loma Linda, California... grew up in Hesperia, California...parents John and Tonya Almeida...one sibling; younger brother, Dominic... also considered attending University of Hawaii at Manoa...in her spare time she is a bible study leader for fifth grade girls...while at SUA she will be concentrating in Environmental Studies...her language of choice is Spanish.
