2015-2016 Season
Led the Women's Cross Country team this season before leaving to study abroad this spring in Grenoble, France...awarded the Soka University Women's Cross Country Most Outstanding Runner award at the SUA Athletics banquet...placed seventh in the Cal Pac Conference tournament championships race with a time of 20:02.5... earned First Team All-Conference and the automatic bid to NAIA Nationals... Boutin ran a strong 21:07.6 at the 2015 Cross Country NAIA National Championships.Â
2014-2015 Season
Awarded as Women's Cross Country Most Valuable Runner at the Soka Athletics Banquet...Nina led the Lady Lions cross country squad throughout the season... one of the most consistent runners in 2014... Finished the season strong, just barely missing the opportunity to place and compete at NAIA Nationals... In Track, she competed in the 1500m, mile, 3000m, 5000m and the 10,000m races... ran her PR in the mile during her indoor season with a 5:51 mile, an 11:29 3000m...she set her outdoor PR in the 5000m with a time of 19:34.
2013-2014 Season
In her first year as a Lion, Nina was awarded with the Women's Cross Country Most Valuable Runner award at the annual SUA Athletics Banquet... she had her season best race in cross country at the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Challenge with a time of 20:04... Boutin set a PR in the indoor 1500m race with a time of 5:24 and a PR in the 10,000m with a time of 42:38... Nina was also a member of the Global Brigades club.
High School
A 2013 York High School graduate...awarded the York High School Most Valuable Runner and the XC Rookie of the Year award...was a member of the Green Team, York High's yearbook Editor, a member of the Creative Writing Club, and a writing center tutor.Â
Personal
Born in York, Maine...parents Rose and Dan Boutin...one sibling; older sister Monique, who ran for the University of Maine...studying French and concentrating in Environmental Studies while at SUA...also considered attending Colby College, University of Maine, Maine College of Art and Rhode Island School of Design before committing to Soka.
