Castanho  studied aboard during the Fall 2019 semester, upon returning to SUA Castanho swam Free, Back, Breaststroke and Individual Medley for the Lions...posted season best times in the 50 Free (29.63), 100 Free (1:04.90), 200 Free (2:34.60)...100 Back (1:13.50)...100 Breast (1:23.33)... and 200 IM (2:59.50).

2018-2019 Season
Castanho swam Free, Back, Butterfly, Breaststroke and Individual Medley for the Lions...posted season bests in the 50 Free (29.07), 100 Free (1:04.85), 200 Free (2:41.25)...50 Back (34.65)...50 Breast (40.82), 100 Breast (1:23.53), 200 Breast (3:01.42)... 50 Fly (38.31), 100 Fly (1:30.37)... and 100 IM (1:16.48), 200 IM (2:50.34).

2017-2018 Season
Castanho swam Free, Back, and Breaststroke for the Lions...posted season bests in the 50 Free (30.04), 100 Free (1:05.98), 200 Free (2:41.25)...50 Back (x33.05), 100 Back (x1:14.31)...50 Breast (44.60), 100 Breast (1:24.03), 200 Breast (3:46.00)...and 200 IM (3:10.50)...Castanho is also a member of the Model UN, and Soka Productions clubs...also worked as an Agent at Aira Tech Corp.

High School
Graduate of Chula Vista Learning Community Charter...was a varsity swimmer for all four years with the Cobras...was a recipient of the Perennial Director's Academic Excellence Awards (3.8 GPA or higher), the Presidential Volunteer Award, Coaches' Award (Given to the athlete showing best winning attitude), and the Mission Possible Award (Given to the athlete that takes the "hard sets with a smile")...Castanho also swam for the Southbay Aquatics swim club.

Personal
Born and raised in San Diego, California to parents Joseph Castanho and Lillian Toulet...two brothers: Jacob Castanho (SDSU Men's rowing) and Daniel Navarrete (Soka University)...also considered attending UC Berkeley, UC Merced, Pepperdine University, Whittier University, University of San Diego, and San Diego State University...studying International Studies...fluent in English and Spanish, learning Chinese...hobbies include: swimming, surfing, hiking, Model UN, speech and debate, and acting.
