2024-2025 Season
Yano specialized in breaststroke and sprint freestyle events during the season. She opened at the Bulldog Pentathlon with a 50 Free in 40.68 and a 100 Free in 1:27.13. At the Wyatt Balman Invitational, she recorded a season-best 34.66 in the 50 Free (25th place) and a personal best 1:32.92 in the 100 Breast (19th place). She continued improving at the La Verne Invitational, setting personal bests of 34.28 in the 50 Free, 43.63 in the 50 Breast, 1:32.76 in the 100 Breast, and 1:32.35 in the 100 IM. At the Triple Distance Invitational, she notched another personal best in the 50 Breast (42.96) and added a 1:33.21 in the 100 Breast and a 3:27.34 in the 200 Breast. Yano scored 10th place in the 100 Breast at the GSAC Championship with a personal best 1:32.65. She capped the season at the PCSC Championships with a 33.63 in the 50 Free, 1:18.85 in the 100 Free, and a personal best 1:31.98 in the 100 Breast (42nd place).

Graduated from Kansai Soka High School…competed in basketball all four years of high school…volunteered in work that helped preserve sea animals’ lives.

Born and raised in Hyogo, Japan…parents; mom competed in table tennis and dad competed in gymnastics…two siblings…concentrating in Life Sciences and studying French at Soka University of America…fluent in Japanese…hobbies include puzzles, basketball, and baseball.
