2015-2016 Season
Studied Abroad in Quito, Ecuador during the first semester of the school year... had season best times in the 50 Free (25.65), 100 Free (55.79), 200 Free (1:56.67), and 500 Free (5:39.86)...50 Back (30.15), 100 Back (1:04.61) and 200 Back (2:19.80)...and took part in the NAIA National Championship Competition... Karnilaw was also a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

2014-2015 Season
Swam the Freestyle, Backstroke and Individual Medley for the Lions...Set a new school record (breaking her own previous record of 5:20.00) in the 500 Free with a time of 5:17.18...also had season best times in the 25 Free (12.79), 50 Free (25.52), 100 Free (55.09) and the 1650 Free (19.20.42)...50 Back (30.04), 100 Back (1:03.95), 200 Back (2:18.69)... and the 200 IM (2:32.72)... and took part in the NAIA National Championship Competition...Taylor was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee... she earned SUA Female Swimmer of the Year and Female Scholar Athlete of the Year.

2013- 2014 Season
Swam the Freestyle, Backstroke and Individual Medley for the Lions... Set a new school record in the 500 Free with a time of 5:20.00...Also set new school records in the 100 Free (54.03), 200 Free (1:56.26), and 100 Free (11.29.41)...as well as being a part of the 200, 400, and 800 Free relay teams and the 400 medley relay team that also set new school records...... also set season best times in the 25 Free (12.86), 50 Free (26.14) ...50 Back (29.25), 100 Back (1:03.93) 200 Back (2:19.38)...200 IM (2:28.36)... and took part in the NAIA National Championship Competition... she earned SUA Female Swimmer of the Year honors and Female Soka Athlete of the Year.

High School
Attended Clear Brook High School... swam four years of varsity swim...Most Valuable Swimmer for three consecutive years... member of the peer assistance program and leadership volunteer program.

Personal
Born in Houston, Texas... parents Hope and Michael Karnilaw...one sibling, younger sister Mackenzie... swam for the Houston Cougar Aquatics swim club...also considered attending Lafayette College and Middlebury College before committing to Soka University of America... concentrating in Social and Behavioral Studies... speaks Spanish.
