Wurtz swam Free, Back, Butterfly, and Individual Medley for the Lions...posted season bests in the 25 Free (11.51), 50 Free (x23.77), 100 Free (51.13), 200 Free (1:50.98), 500 Free (x5:02.70), 1000 Free (11:07.01)... 100 Back (1:02.72), 200 Back (2:13.20)...100 Fly (55.28), 200 Fly (2:06.87)... and 100 IM (x1:03.29).
High School
Graduated from Huron High School...swam all four years for the River Rats...swam on the Saline Swim club team...swim team was runner-up in State competition...was awarded Academic All Conference, and was Team Captain...outside of swimming, Wurtz was a member of the school's Concert and Marching Band.

Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan...born to Haruko and Andrew Wurtz...one sibling, Aska...considered attending Kalamazoo College and Lake Forest College before choosing Soka as his home for the next four years...fluent in English and Japanese, and is currently learning Spanish...also enjoys playing trumpet.
