2022-2023 Season
Nakamura opened the season at the 2023 OCC Outdoor Meet in the 3000m event, finishing with a time of 9:17.00…he also competed in the mile event at both the Sunshine Indoor Open & Combined Events and the 2023 Soka Indoor Qualifier, setting a season best with a time of 4:28.22…Nakamura then competed at the Occidental Distance Carnival & Spring Break Classic in the 5000m event and finishing with a time of 16:.09.95…he then competed at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Meet, setting two season bests in the 800m (2:00.33) and the 1500m (4:11.99)…at the Team 4 Titus and Ely Invitational, Nakamura competed in the 1500 (4:13.09) and the 4x800 (8:33.49)…he then competed in the 5000m (15:47.04) at the Whittier Twilight and the 800m (2:02.81) at the Cal State LA Twilight Meet…following this, Nakamura competed at the CalPac Championships 2023 in the 4x400m (3:37.93) and the 4x800m (8:15.91), also setting a season best in the 5000m with a time of 15:41.12…Nakamura then closed out the season at the Oxy Invitational, competing in the 5000m and finishing with a time of 15:59.87. 

High School
Graduated from Huron High School…completed one year on varsity Track and Field for the Green and Yellow…served as a member of National Honors Society…member of the Debate Club.

Born in Osaka, Japan and raised in Yoshkar-Ola, Russia before moving to the United States of America for high school…parents; Liliya Minkina and Norikazu Nakamura…one sibling; Eugenia Minkina…also considered attending the University of Michigan before committing to be a Soka Lion…concentrating in Social and Behavioral Sciences as well as International Studies and studying Japanese at SUA…Nakamura is also fluent in Russian…hobbies include basketball.
