Kawamura began her college career at the 2023 OCC Indoor/Outdoor Meet, competing in the 60m and the 200m and finishing with times of 9.09 in the 60m and 30.71 in the 200m…she also competed in the 60m and the 200m events at the Sunshine Indoor Open and Combined Events Meet, improving her times to 8.93 in the 60m and 30.61 in the 200m…in the 2023 Soka Indoor Qualifier, Kawamura set a personal best for the season in the 60m with a time of 8.55…Kawamura then competed at the Occidental Distance Carnival & Spring Break Classic in the 100m and finishing with a time of 14.09…Kawamura then competed in the Ross and Sharon Irwin Meet in the 100m (13.92) and the 200m (29.11)…she then competed in the Team 4 Titus and Ely Invitational in the 100m and the 200m, finishing with times of 13.92 and 29.36…Kawamura then competed at the Whittier Twilight in the 100m event and the 200m event finishing with times of 14.10 and 29.52…she then competed at the Cal State LA Twilight Meet in the 100m (13.98) and the 200m (29.87)…Kawamura closed out the season at the 2023 CalPac Championships, competing in the 100m and the 200m events setting two personal bests with times of 13.58 in the 100m and 28.69 in the 200m...held a job on campus in the Performing Arts Center…named Women’s Track and Field Most Outstanding Award in 2022-2023.
