2022-2023 Season
Kasai opened the season at the Occidental Distance Carnival and Spring Break Classic in the 800m event and finished with a time of 2:03.02…he also competed at the Ross and Sharon Irwin meet, competing in the 800m (2:02.55) and the 1500m (4:15.99)…Kasai then competed at the Team 4 Titus and Ely Invitational in the 800m and the 4x800m events, finishing with times of 2:01.80 and 8:33.49…also competed at the Whittier Twilight and the Cal State LA Twilight in the 800m and finished with times of 2:09.81 and 2:04.56…Kasai closed out the season at the CalPac Championships 2023 competing in the 4x800m (8:15.91), the 4x400m (3:37.93), and the 800m (2:02.41).
2021-2022 Season
Kasai completed in 4M event at the SD Mesa XC Invite College Open and set a personal college best record time of 22:13.8…he competed in the Titan Invite 8k and set another personal college best of 26:42.4…also participated in the 2022 Team 4 Titus and Ely Invitational in the 5000 and set a college best of 16:22.64…Naoki closed out the season by competing in the California Pacific Conference Championships and setting two more college bests in the 800 and the 1500 with times of 1:59.57 and 4:09.36.

Graduated from West High School…competed at the varsity level for three years for both Cross Country and Track & Field.

Born in Ota, Japan, lived in Tokyo, Japan until the age of 5, then moved to Saipan and lived there until the age of 9 before moving to Guam, and then moved to the Torrance, California at 14…parents Daiki and Mikiko Kasai…two siblings…also considered attending UCSD, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly Pomona, and CSU Long Beach…studying Chinese at SUA…fluent in Japanese.
