ALISO VIEJO, CA- The Lions could not convert their chances in Monday afternoon's match against Occidental College, ultimately falling to the Tigers 2-0.
The Tigers' Olivia Haga netted an early goal four minutes into the first half after lofting her shot high towards the back post. Occidental's Rachel Kolpa converted the Tigers' second goal in the 59
th minute after getting on the end of a cross from Anna Fukashima.

Taylor Hampton, Abigail Felix, and Jenna Jenson had two shots on goal, respectively.
Merina Addonigio,
Kimberly Kitani, and
Roxana Ortiz had one shot each.
"I was happy with the team's performance today, especially in the second half," said Head Coach
Wendy Espejel. "We adjusted our game plan early in the game, which helped us become more dangerous. I am excited to see players stepping up as leaders on the field and looking forward to our continued progression this season."
On Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, the Lions return to action when they host Westcliff University at 11:30 a.m.
