PRESCOTT, AZ- The Soka Lions dropped their road match against the Embry Riddle Aeronautical Eagles 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in Prescott, Arizona, bringing their overall record to 8-6-1 and 7-4 in Cal Pac Conference play.
The two sides remained level for the first 44 minutes of the game until a free kick from 25 yards out deflected off the Lions' defensive wall, taking a lucky bounce back to the feet of the Eagles' Lucas Garcia, who put his shot into the goal to give his side the 1-0 lead to end the first half.
The Eagles converted three more chances during the second half, scoring in the 55th, 56th, and 63rd minutes of play.
Soka's
Bryan Palpallatoc had a great look on frame in the second half that forced the Eagles' goal keeper to come up with the diving save.
Adalid Oregon had two shots while
Luis Barraza had one, and
Rudy Garcia,
Mateus Seiki Rosa, and
