Soka University of America Director of Athletics Mike Moore has named Angel Zazueta as the Lion's new Sports Information Officer. In this role, Angel will work to enhance the digital landscape of Soka University of America athletics programs. She brings a rich background in sports management, technology, and coaching, and is poised to make a substantial impact on the college's athletic experience.
 
"I'm thrilled to have Angel. on board in this role," said Moore. "She is an innovator and I look forward to seeing her shine the spotlight on all the great things that our student-athletes and coaches do in competition, in the community, and in the classroom. I know her efforts will make an incredible impact on the athletic experience."
 
Zazueta comes from within the California Pacific Conference, having most recently served as the sports information director at Benedictine University Mesa in Mesa, Arizona. Prior to Benedictine, she served as the assistant sports information director at La Sierra University.

Zazueta earned her Bachelor of Art's degree in English and master's in business administration at La Sierra University.
