ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The Soka University Lions dropped their home match against Hope International 6-1 Wednesday evening at the Lions' Den Soccer Stadium.
Soka scored first, six minutes into the match on a goal from
Adalid Oregon, assisted by
Luis Barraza and
Diego Barba. Hope answered back at the 12
th minute to level the score. The Royals continued to apply pressure to the Lions' defense scoring three more times to bring the score to 4-1 before the half ended.
The Lions made adjustments to their play but were unable to hold off the Royals from scoring in the second half. The final score came to 6-1, with the Royals out shooting the Lions 27-8, and 15-2 with shots on goal.
