ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The Lions posted a shutout over La Sierra at the Lions' Den on Sunday night. The Lions are now 2-6 overall and 1-0 in Cal Pac play.
The first half was a slow start offensively for both squads.
Elm Pentinat showed up huge for the Lions making two key saves to keep the deadlock going into the half.
Soka was able to strike early in the 48th minute on a goal from
Sam Dagg. Kafaela Saidi and
Luis Barraza assisted Dagg's goal.
Rudy Garcia landed an unassisted goal in the 51st minute to secure the win over the Golden Eagles.
Up next, the Lions will take a break from Cal Pac play and host Southern California Leadership for a scrimmage on Sep. 28 and Vanguard University on Oct. 5
