ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The Soka University Lions fell to the Park University Gilbert Buccaneers on Friday evening at the Lions' Den Soccer Stadium. The loss brings the Lions to a 2-2 overall record with two more matches before starting Cal Pac play.

Soka began the match applying pressure on the Buccaneers defense but were unable to convert their chances. Soka outshot the Buccaneers in both frames, with more shots on goal, and had five corner kicks. The Buccaneers scored on an unassisted goal from Hallie Benson.

Soka's Jeanna Ceja, Emely Yepez, Thalia Daugherty, and Sabrina Benjamin each had looks on frame to challenge Park's goalkeeper.
 
Next up, the Lions will stay at home to host Stanton University on Wednesday, September 11, with kick off set for 7:30 p.m.
