SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Soka Lions continued their season on Friday, February 27 with a road matchup against The Master's University at The MacArthur Center. Despite the straight-set result (25-8, 25-9, 25-16), the Lions showed resilience and continued to compete throughout the match.
Corban Tidwell and
Kamohoalii Chan led the Lions with four kills each.
Gabriel Boldizsar added two kills on two attempts while
Jacob Marquez guided the offense with 11 assists and contributed two kills, while
Andres Chavez added one assist.
Defensively, Soka totaled eight digs, with
Yuko Jitoho recording three and
Christian Obergfell adding two. At the net, Chan and Boldizsar each contributed a block assist as the Lions finished with two total team blocks.
The Lions will face Park Gilbert on Friday, March 6 at 6:00 p.m. and follow it with a match against Benedictine Mesa on Saturday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m.
