2016-2017 Season
Appeared in  16 matches and started in 14 for the Lions... scored a career high 7 goals and assisted 5, earning 19 points on the season... took 28 shots with 13 shots finding frame...scored 2 game-winning goals... scored a hat trick against Cal Maritime... earned Cal Pac Conference Player of the Week honors  on Oct. 3... earned Soka University Lion of the Week recognition on Oct.10... named to the Cal Pac Conference Second-Team... spent his spring semester studying abroad in Aix-en Provence, France. 

2015-2016
Played in eleven of the Lions’ matches in his sophomore season...started in seven... Scored one goal...Career high of two goals in one game against Simpson University on Sept. 20...assists against San Diego Christian and Pacific Union...took a total of twelve shots on the season...Outside of soccer, Whyte worked as a stage technician for the Soka Performing Arts Center... Whyte will be studying abroad in Aix-en Provence, France during the spring 2017 semester.

2014-2015 Season
Played in thirteen of the Lions’ eighteen matches in his first season...started in eight...Scored four goals, assisted in two...Career high of two goals in one game against Arizona Christian University on Aug.16th...assists against Bethesda University and Cal Tech...took a total of sixteen shots on the season.

Attended Grant High School...three year varsity soccer team member...earned Portland Interscholastic League First Team All-Conference.

Personal
Born in Hualien, Taiwan... moved to Portland, Oregon when he was four years old... parents Jim and Tien Whyte... played club soccer for Eastside United FC and Oswego Southside Soccer Aliance (Crossfire Oregon)...won State Cup in 2013 and 2015... Soka University was his top college of choice...concentrating in Environmental Studies...studying French...also speaks Chinese and Japanese.
