2016-2017 Season
Appeared in 16 and started 13 matches for the Lions... scored 2 goals and assisted 4 for a total of 8 points on the season... took 42 shots... scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute of the match against the Golden Eagles of La Sierra on Oct. 6.

2015-2016 Season
Zapletal was an attacking force for the Lions during their 2015 campaign... played in 16 matches...started in 14...scored 7 goals...7 assists... earned a total of 21 points...took 45 shots on the season...Zapletal also worked as a residential advisor on campus.

2014-2015 Season
Played in all eighteen matches for the Lions...started in fifteen...scored six goals and assisted four, earning a total sixteen points...took forty-six shots finishing second on the team for most shots in the 2014 season... He scored a career high of two goals in one game against Bethesda University on Aug.30...on campus he was a member of the Philosophy Circle.

Attended Gymnazium Kromeriz... played both soccer and ice hockey for his school... also played ice hockey for the HC Zubr Prerov and HK Kromeriz teams...while attending school Zapletal also volunteered as an ice skating coach for youth.

Born in Kromeriz, Czech Republic...grew up in the nearby town of Zborovice...parents Jaroslav Zapletal and Sarka Zapletalova...one sibling; older brother, Jan... played club soccer for SK KS Kromeriz and TJ Pilana Zborovice...also considered attending Drake University, Saint Leo University, Lafayette College, and Southern Methodist University before selecting Soka...studying Humanities and International Studies while at SUA...speaks Czech while also learning German and studying Chinese while at SUA...enjoys playing the guitar in his spare time.
