Entering 2015
As team captain Jonathan's leadership both on and off the field will play a pivotal role in the team’s success... Junqua will continue to provide composure, technical skill, and tactical vision in the central defense for the Lions.

2014 Season
Played in all eighteen matches for SUA... started in sixteen...assisted in one goal...took four shots on the season... received Daktronics Scholar Athlete honors, as well as Soka University of America Scholar Athlete recognition...was a recipient of the SUA Global Merit Award...Vice President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee...a member of Soul wings and the Changemakers program...Studies abroad in Strasbourg, France. 

2013 Season
Played in all seventeen matches for Soka...started in fifteen...scored two goals...assisted one...took ten shots on the season...received Cal Pac Defensive Player of the week honors on Sept. 23...Soka University of America Scholar Athlete...member of Soul wings and Ka Pilina Ho' olokahi 

2012 Season
Started and played in all sixteen matches for the Lions...assisted in two goals...took nine shots...member of the Soul wings club.

Class of 2012 graduate at Saratoga High School...was a four-year varsity member of the soccer team...was also a member of the school band...

Personal
Born in Santa Barbara, California...moved to Japan for two years... returned to the states and growing up in Saratoga California...parents Jean-Claude and Yuriko Junqua...two siblings; Samuel and Fabien...Fabien will be playing soccer at UC Berkley this Fall...played club soccer for DeAnza Force FC...also considered attending UC Irvine, UC Davis and UCLA prior to selecting Soka University... concentrating in Social and Behavioral Sciences...speaks Japanese and French... Married to Kana Junqua (Chin) in the summer of 2015.
