Played in 17 matches for the Lions... started in 8... scored 6 goals and assisted 1 for a total of 13 points on the season... took 31 shots, and found the frame 21 times for a .677 shot on goal percentage... member of the Saulseros Club... studied abroad during the Spring 2019 semester in Quito, Ecuador.

2017-2018 Season
Played in 14 matches for the Lions... started in 2... scored 3 goals for a total of 6 points on the season... took 20 shots, and found the frame 8 times for a .400 shot on goal percentage. 

2016-2017 Season
Appeared in all 17 matches for the Lions...started 10...scored 7 goals and assisted 1 for a combined 15 points... scored the fastest goal in program history (13 seconds) against Pacific Union on Sept. 22 ... took 36 shots with 20 of those shots finding frame... helped lead his team to the first Cal Pac Conference Tournament berth in program history... earned Soka's Lions of the Week award on Nov. 20.

High School
Graduated from Soquel High School...a three year varsity soccer team member and two year varsity track and field team member...was named captain of the varsity soccer team his senior season...scored a career high 12 goals and 5 assists...ran the 800m, mile and two mile for the Medieval Knights running his fastest mile in 5:08...president of the Multi-cultural Club and active in his school leadership program.

Personal
Born in Santa Cruz, California... parents Ruben Ortiz and Roxana Jimenez...two siblings; sisters Roxana who is a first year on the Soka Women's Soccer team, and Natalia...played club soccer for the Mid-County Surf Soccer Club and was a semi-finalist at the Nomads Soccer Tournament as well as District II Fall Cup champions... also considered attending Maryville University and St. Edwards University before committing to the Soka Lions...studying Chinese at SUA and concentrating in International Studies.
