2023 - 2024 Season

Barraza appeared in 16 matches and started 14 for the Lions… Barraza was the leading scorer for the Lions with five goals and one assist to total 11 points… he secured the game winning goal in three matches on the 2023 season: vs. Saint Katherin (10/28), vs. UC Merced (10/15), vs. Pacific Union (9/15)… he took 16 shots with eight on frame for a .500 shot on goal percentage… Barraza totaled 891 minutes on the pitch in his third year.

2022 - 2023 Season

Played in 17 matches and started in 14 matches for the Lions…scored 6 goals and recorded two assists for a total of 14 points on the season…received the Golden Boot 2022 Award…worked as a Soka Camp Counselor and at Rubio’s Grill…plans on studying abroad in Paris, France in Spring 2024…voted Offensive Player of the Week. 

2021 - 2022 Season

Played in 16 matches and started in 7 matches for the Lions…scored one goal and had one assist on the season…totaled 3 points during the season…named Cal Pac All Conference Honorable Mention…worked as a camp counselor. 

High School

Graduated from Greeley Central High School... a four-year varsity letter-winner and multi sport student-athlete for the Wildcats playing varsity soccer, basketball, baseball, football and running for the Orange and Black's varsity cross county team as well... earned All-Conference honors three times...was named All-State twice... earned Male Athlete of the Year recognition... Also in the honor band and symphony orchestra... a member of the National Honors Society.

Born and raised in Greeley, Colorado... parents Olivia Hernandez and Luis Barraza Sr....two siblings; Rubi and Isaac... played club soccer for F.C. Colorado... helped his team to the 2019 Allianza National Showcase... also considered attending the University of Dayton and Metro State University of Denver before committing to the Soka Lions... studying Social and Behavioral Sciences and Spanish while at SUA... speaks Spanish.
