Biography
Entering 2015
Returning for her fourth year as a dual athlete, Hollis will be a force both on the soccer field and the track. The Lady Lions soccer program will look to her to bring flare to the front line and the track program looks forward to the return of her commanding speed...Hollis will also serve on the Senior Events Committee.
2014-2015 Season
Hollis missed the 2014 soccer season as she was studying abroad in Hachioji, Japan, at SUA's sister-school, Soka University of Japan...Ran the 400m for the Women's indoor and outdoor track & field team...was a member of the Ka'Pilina Ho'olokahi club and Global Brigades Club...was on the Dean's List for both semesters.
2013-2014 Season
Taylor started and played in fifteen of the Lions’ matches...she had four goals and five assists...earned thirteen points on the season...took twenty-six shots... she had a season best of two goals against Bethesda University on Aug.16...In track, Hollis ran multiple events for the Lions until succumbing to a quad injury late in the season...was also a member of the SUA Changemakers program... was a member of the Ka'Pilina Ho'olokahi club and Vice President of the Global Brigades club...took part in the Soka Alternative Spring Break Program...was a summer SOL (Student Orientation Leader)....was on the Dean's List for both semesters.
2012-2013 Season
Hollis started in fourteen of the eighteen matches for the Lions...she scored three goals earning a total of six points in the Soka's 2013 campaign...took a total of fifteen shots...Hollis was a standout during the indoor track & field season setting a new school record in the 400m also qualifying her to compete at the NAIA Indoor National Championship competition...was a member of the Ka'Pilina Ho'olokahi club and Global Brigades club...served on the Student Festival Executive Council... was on the Dean's List for both semesters.
High School
A 2012 Newark Memorial High School graduate...a multi-varsity sport athlete in volleyball, soccer, and track & field...earned runner up Athlete of the Year and runner up Scholar Athlete of the Year her fourth season...was also the runner up for Homecoming Queen...Hollis earned Mission Valley All-League honors in Track & Field as she earned League Champion honors in the 4x100, 4x400, 200m, 400m, 800m...Ran in the State track meet three years straight earning a ranking in the top twenty times in California for her 400m race (2011)... earned First Team All-Conference for her performance as a striker on the girls’ soccer team (2010)...was recognized by the Puente Program for her Academic Excellence in the Classroom (2010)...the Mayor of Newark recognized Hollis for her Excellence in Innovation in Education to advance Latino success in June of 2011...the Modern Language Award winner by Newark High School's Language Department...Aside from being a three-sport athlete, Hollis was BSU President...Puente President...a member of CSF and FCA...a participant in the Spring Engineering Educational program... a volunteer with both the American Red Cross, Washington Hospital, Mountain View Veterans Hospital, Mission Springs Community Church and Viola the Blythe... a tutor with Link Crew and Cookies and Cram.... was a server for Elegant Affairs...she held leadership positions as her high school freshman Vice President, sophomore Vice President, All Student Body Vice President and All Student Body President.

Born in San Jose, California...moved to Newark, California...parents Michael and Wanda Hollis...four siblings; two brothers, Michael and Brian, two sisters, Airalee and Kelly...also considered attending Long Beach State, Boise, Georgetown, University of Redlands, Duke, and Yale before choosing to attend Soka University...concentration is in International Studies...speaks Spanish and Japanese...played club soccer for the Newark Soccer Club.
