ALISO VIEJO, CA- The Lady Lions were unable to find the back of the net against the Royals of Hope International University in their 6-0 loss Saturday evening at the Lion's Den Soccer Stadium.
Hope University's Jade Perez put the Royals on the scoreboard in the 25
th minute, followed by a hat trick from Royals' midfielder Leigha Williams with goals in the 27
th minute, the 32
nd minute, and the 58
th minute of the match.
A deflection in the 71
st minute caused an own goal for the Lady Lions, giving Hope the 5-0 lead with 18 minutes left to play. The Royal's Angelica Flores scored Hope's sixth and final goal in the 85
th minute off of a bending service from Perez. Flores' goal was placed high and into the back post for a final score of 6-0.
Soka returns home for their fifth home game of the season on Saturday Sept.15, 2018 against Mills College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
