INCLINE VILLAGE, NV- The Soka University Lions defeated the Eagles of Sierra Nevada College 1-0 on Friday afternoon at the Tahoe Vista Soccer Complex.

Araceli Soto-Garcia tallied her third goal of the season in the 18
th minute of play off of an assist from
Cienna Irwin. Despite outshooting the Eagles 34-9 and leading her side with nine shots on the day, Soto-Garcia's goal proved to be the game-winner, lifting the Lions to their second win of the 2021 season.
The Lions are now 2-6 overall and 0-1 in Cal Pac Conference play. They have scored eight goals in eight games and are ranked 98
th overall in the NAIA for shots on goal (63).
The Lions remain on the road and travel to Angwin, CA, to face the Pacific Union College Pioneers on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
