ALISO VIEJO, CA- The Soka University Lions were unable to get past the (18) Eagles of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Thursday night.

The Eagles tallied six goals on the night, converting their first chance in the 17^th minute, followed by goals in the 33^rd, 50^th, 54^th, 73^rd, and 79^th minutes of play.

The Lions were outshot 23-5, and Soka's Abby Stallworth made nine saves on the day.   

Soka's Kamry Aragon led the Lions with two shots on frame, while Roxana Ortiz, Araceli Soto-Garcia, and Katie Jones each took one shot on the day.

"We always knew Embry-Riddle was going to be tough," said Head Coach Wendy Espejel. "Even more so as we are currently going through a rough patch with a few key players out with injuries. Regardless, we are using this adversity to grow both individually and as a team."

The Lions now look ahead to their next match on Saturday, September 24, 2022, when they travel to Providence Christian College. Kickoff is set for 2 pm.
