Lions Pick Up Three Points in Win against Cal Maritime

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The Soka University Lions wrapped up the week with a 13-0 win against Cal Maritime. The Lions are now 8-2 overall and 3-0 in Cal Pac play.

Much like the match against PUC, the Lions defense held Cal Maritime to zero shots and zero corners, while taking 56 shots with 32 on frame and 8 corners.

The Lions opened the match scoring within the first two minutes on a goal from Emely Yepez. From there, the floodgates were opened and the Lions tallied 12 more goals. Cienna Irwin (17:57), Sienna Gomez (35:27), Analise Rocha (64:26), and Anahi Aranda (80:48) score their first goals of the season in the match.
