Soka Competes at Caltech Tri Meet

PASADENA, Calif. – Soka University swimmers put up a solid showing at the Caltech Tri-Meet, racing strong against top SCIAC and GSAC competition from Caltech and The Master's University.

Men's Highlights

Feliks Czarnecki led Soka's charge once again, placing 4th in the 100 Freestyle (49.48) and clocking a 55.38 in the 100 IM (4th)
Jaeger Frazier continued to be a key contributor, finishing 4th in the 200 Freestyle (1:52.19) and 4th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:03.48), showing his versatility across strokes.
Alex Skrzypek swam a strong 57.78 in the 100 Backstroke (3rd) and a 56.66 in the 100 Butterfly, contributing valuable points in both.
Rion Kunimoto added steady performances with 1:56.93 in the 200 Free, 51.47 in the 100 Free, and 26.67 in the 50 Fly, continuing his all-around consistency.
Keegan Nichols impressed with a 54.42 in the 100 Fly (5th) and 59.79 in the 100 Back (5th).
Ren Rydberg competed across multiple events, clocking 1:24.21 in the 100 IM and joining relay efforts for team points.
The men's 200 Medley Relay (Skrzypek, Frazier, Nichols, Czarnecki) placed 4th with a 1:40.38, while the 200 Free Relay (Skrzypek, Czarnecki, Frazier, Kunimoto) finished 3rd at 1:31.12, their best showing of the day.

Women's Highlights

Bea Ulian Vilanova led the women's side, finishing with a 1:02.14 in the 100 Free, 32.65 in the 50 Back, and 32.42 in the 50 Fly, earning Soka's top women's results.
Kayla Robertson swam 1:15.56 in the 100 Free and 1:30.81 in the 100 IM, continuing to build consistency in multiple events.
Hana Imamura and Rubi Barraza each contributed valuable swims in breaststroke and freestyle events, including 1:43.39 in the 100 Breast and 1:36.89 in the 100 Free, respectively.
The women's 200 Free Relay (Ulian Vilanova, Robertson, Imamura, Barraza Hernandez) closed the meet with a 2:20.65, gaining race experience and finishing ahead of their seed time.
