REDLANDS, Calif. – Soka University's swim opened the season at the Bulldog Pentathlon hosted by University of Redlands. The Lions competed in a strong field featuring Biola, Whittier, Occidental, and Redlands.
Men's Highlights
Feliks Czarnecki led the team with standout swims across multiple events, highlighted by a 9th-place finish in the 100 Free (49.57) and another strong swim in the 100 IM (57.20, 9th) marking a personal best in the event.
Jaeger Frazier continued his consistent performance, clocking 50.34 in the 100 Free (14th) and 57.60 in the 100 IM (14th).
Alexander Skrzypek turned in a fast 51.84 in the 100 Free (24th) and 56.69 in the 100 Fly (29th). Skrzypek also marked a personal best in the 100 IM with a time of 1:00.14.
Rion Kunimoto showed versatility across the meet, posting 52.40 in the 100 Free (T-30th), 1:03.76 in the 100 Fly, and 1:10.42 in the 100 Breast.
Ren Rydberg added valuable team points, competing in the 100 Back (1:27.30), 100 IM (1:08.89), and 100 Breast (1:30.51), marking personal bests in the 100 IM and 100 Breast.
Women's Highlights
Beatriz Ulian Vilanova was a consistent performer, posting 1:01.72 in the 100 Free, 1:11.92 in the 100 Breast marking a personal best, and 1:18.21 in the 100 Back.
Kayla Robertson competed tough in multiple events, including a 1:35.63 in the 100 Breast and 1:20.18 in the 100 Free.
