ALISO VIEJO, CA- Soka University Athletics Director Mike Moore has announced the addition of Men's Golf to the department beginning in the 2023 Fall season.

"We are very excited about adding men's golf as an intercollegiate sport," said Athletics Director Mike Moore. "Men's golf certainly aligns with the sports offered in our student recruitment area. I believe it will greatly enhance the student experience at Soka and give our incoming students another opportunity to play a sport at the collegiate level."

Men's golf is the twelfth sport added to athletics at Soka University of America, and the team will hold their first official competition on October 16, 2023, at Vanguard University. 

Nancy Mockett will serve as the head coach of the women's and men's golf teams, and Curtis Robinson will be the assistant coach for both programs. 

"We are thrilled to have this opportunity to introduce men's golf at Soka University," said Mockett. "This initiative promises to provide a valuable experience for aspiring players, and we are confident that men's golf will thrive and offer a high-quality program for our students at Soka University."
