RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Soka's men made the short trip to Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside, California for the Canyon Crest Shootout, competing on the 6,570-yard Blue course (Par 72) in a one-round stroke play format against La Sierra University.

Soka finished 2nd in the team standings with a score of 334. Ethan Tseng led the Lions with a 78 (+6), finishing 3rd overall in the individual standings. Joaquin Belmonte was right behind at 79 (+7), placing 4th overall. Tse-Shiun Ho posted an 84 (+12), SeongYun Kim carded a 93 (+21), and Nobuaki Mita rounded out the roster with a 107 (+35).
 
La Sierra took first place with a team score of 303, led by Kyle Harford's exceptional round of 67 (-5), which was the low score of the day. Ky Stopp added a 74 (+2) and Tyler Cole contributed an 80 (+8) to anchor the winning effort.
