LOMPOC, Calif. – The Lions showed determination and competitive spirit at the TMU Spring Invite (GSAC Preview), held at La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc, California.
On the men's side, leading the charge for the Lions was
Joaquin Belmonte, who posted rounds of 86-83-85 for a 54-hole total of 254, finishing 23rd overall and demonstrating consistency across all three days of competition.
Ethan Tseng was right behind at 255, carding rounds of 82-86-87 and showing his strongest golf in the opening round.
SeongYun Kim competed with grit throughout the event, posting rounds of 89-92-100 for a 281 total, while
Tse-Shiun Ho and
Nobuaki Mita also took the course and gained invaluable experience on a demanding championship-caliber layout, finishing with totals of 305 and 379 respectively. The team's collective performance across three grueling rounds speaks to the program's continued growth and commitment.
On the women's side,
Linnea Yamamoto led the way for the Lions, posting rounds of 86 and 87 for a 173 total, a strong showing that placed her 12th individually out of 25 competitors.
Mariah Brooks was close behind, carding an 87-92 for a 179 total and finishing 14th overall.
Beini Tang competed with determination, shooting rounds of 116-121 for a 237 total, while
Ryanne Padayhag rounded out the roster, posting an impressive 136 in the opening round and finishing with a 261 total.
