SURPRISE, Ariz. – Soka University golfers took on Sterling Grove Golf Club in Surprise, Arizona, for the OUAZ Fall Invite, with both the men's and women's teams showing persistence across challenging conditions through three rounds of play.
On the women's side,
Mariah Brooks led the way with rounds of 82, 81, and 85. Her consistent performance included stretches of steady par play and composed approaches that kept her round balanced from start to finish.
Linnea Yamamoto followed with scores of 93, 88, and 86, improving each day and finding rhythm on the greens as the tournament progressed.
For the men,
Joaquin Belmonte opened strong with rounds of 76, 78, and 83, showing control off the tee and composure throughout the early rounds.
Ethan Tseng carded scores of 81, 86, and 82, finishing on a high note after steadying his game on the final day.
Tse-Shiun Ho rounded out the Soka lineup with rounds of 118, 101, and 105, gaining valuable experience against a deep field on a demanding course setup.
