ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — The Soka University Lions showed out at the GSAC conference championship earning All-Conference honors in multiple events. The championship meet spanned two days and three sessions on January 31st and February 1st.
Zach Holt became the first Lion to be named a GSAC Champion for the 200-yard breaststroke.
Delaney Cowan brought home two silver medals in the 400-yard IM,, 200-yard fly, and a bronze in the 200-yard IM, earning season best times in all three events. Cowan helped the Lions place third for the relay events.
Nicole Skrzypek earned silver and bronze for the 100-yard free and 50 yard free, respectively. Skrzypek earned a season best time in the 100-yard free with a time of 59.63. She also helped the Lions place third in the relay events.
Kaili Jiang finished in second with a season best time of 1:08.53 in the 100-yard breaststroke. She also helped the Lions place third in the relay events.
Jaeger Frazier earned a third place finish with a season best time of 1:47.05 in the 200-yard freestyle.
Hailey Pistochini played an important role in the team's success during the relay events. Soka was able to place third in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay, and the 400 medley relay.
