MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – The Soka University Lions concluded the 2025 PCSC Championship on Saturday, February 15th. The Lions had several standout performances throughout the meet.
The Lions broke five school records and finished with 28 personal bests. Standout individual performances came from
Nicole Skrzypek and Joshua Beam, who broke records in the 50-yard free and the 200-yard butterfly, respectively. In the relays,
Feliks Czarnecki,
Zachary Holt, Joshua Beam, and
Jaeger Frazier broke school records in the 200-yard freestyle and the 400-yard medley. On the women's side, Skrzypek,
Hailey Pistochini,
Kaili Jiang, and
Delaney Cowan broke the school record for the 200-yard freestyle relay.
The men's team finished in 8th place with a score of 209. The women's team finished in 11th place with 156 points.
Nicole Skrzypek will continue into the postseason at the NAIA National Championship in Elkhart, Ind. March 5-8. Skrzypek is set to compete on the 6th in the 50-yard freestyle. There are 30 schools represented in this year's meet with 160 individual swimmers and eight total divers 2025 NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships.
