Lions Fall Just Short in Nail-Biter Against Providence

CORONA, Calif – Soka University of America came within a single stroke of victory in a tightly contested match against Providence Christian College, finishing with a team score of 337 (+49) to Providence's 336 (+48). The match came down to the final holes, with the Lions narrowly missing out on what would have been a dramatic win.

Leo Takaku led Soka with a strong performance, carding a 78 (+6) to tie for second place alongside Providence's Liam Argue. Zach Holt also made a key impact, posting an 81 (+9) to secure a top-five finish.

Max Takaku and Ethan Tseng each recorded an 89 (+17), while SeongYun Kim followed closely with a 90 (+18). Despite the tough loss, Soka's depth and resilience kept them in contention until the very end.

Soka continues to build momentum in this growing rivalry and will carry it into their next challenge at the Cal Pac Showcase in Napa Valley, California.
